Well, it's that time of year again. Time to go hunting for a tree!! I love this yearly adventure because for us it usually entails driving about 45 minutes, hiking up a mountain covered with snow, finding that perfect tree, sledding back down the mountain, and enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate and some homemade donuts. Sadly this year there wasn't much snow on the ground so we all thought it best to stick close to home as to avoid getting our shoes and our children covered in mud. Sadly neither of those goals were achieved, but we did find a great tree!
Getting ready for the big search. I love that hat but this kids entire outfit clashed. Brown coat, navy blue hat, green gloves, you get the idea.

Our forest for the year and my two adventurers.

Sara decided this was the tree for her family this Christmas. Thankfully she was vetoed :)

My dad getting down 'n dirty in order to get that perfect tree.

Yeah, this was our choice. The men in the house are always in charge of cutting down their own families tree. As you can see our shoes got extremely dirty. What fun!
