The 4th of July 2011

This year's 4th was a whirlwind of activities for us and we loved every minute! Our morning started out with coffee and some play time downtown with the cousins.
Josh walking the boys to the park.

Then it was off to the pond for some first time fishing. Anthony got his very first rod from Josh's parents and we wanted to break it in.
Getting the poles ready.

Darn camera didn't open all the way. Still a keeper!

I believe this is Terran. The boys were giggling so hard because the fish had just jumped. Too cute!

Grandpa Dave took turns instructing each of the boys on the proper techniques of fishing. He is by far the best teacher! Thanks dad.

Then it was home for a quick lunch and nap so that we could head to the pool to do a lot of this:

After the pool we had dinner with some good friends and later that evening we headed over to my parents for a quiet evening of dessert, a fire, and a few fireworks.
We headed home only to find that all the neighbors were having fun setting off illegal fireworks. So we put our little lady to bed, grabbed some blankets, and snuggled up with our buddy out on the deck and enjoyed watching the big boomers go off until about 10:30pm. After that it was off to bed for some much needed rest.
Happy 4th everyone! Hope yours was as enjoyable as ours!!
