I just have to say how proud I am of my husband!! This past weekend the family headed off to Portland, Oregon to watch Josh and a buddy of his race in the Portland Marathon. Over the past few months Josh has been training for the big day by logging at least 400 miles, most of which were completed during the wee hours of the morning. He suffered an IT band injury about halfway through his training, an injury which can be extremely painful with a very long recovery time. Yet, with a little rest and lots of ice he was able to pull through it enough to continue on. Race day finally came last Sunday and Josh was able to complete the 26.2 mile run in 3:39 minutes in the pouring rain. Looking forward to next year, at least the spectators are!
The 21-mile mark. You can't see it but he is still smiling.

Sprinting toward the finish line.

Recovering after the race with his little man who was more interested in eating his chips than smiling for the camera.

The Finishers with drinks in hand!
