First weekend away

Josh and I finally made it away for a night and it was wonderful. My amazing husband surprised me with tickets to Celtic Women a few weeks back as well as an overnight stay at the Oxford Suites downtown Spokane. We had such a wonderful time and I highly recommend seeing those ladies in concert if ever you have the chance. Saturday morning we decided to go out for a stroll along the river after breakfast and stumbled upon the Jr. Lilac Parade.

We walked through the crowds and over to Riverfront Park where Josh was brave enough to wade through the mass of children to climb into the huge Radio Flyer wagon so I could get a picture. Brave soul!

As we continued down the road we came across another event, the Spokane Heart Walk, and decided to join in on the fun. So, off we went on a three mile walk along the water's edge.

As a result of my mother insisting that we enjoy our time away and not to rush home we decided to head over to Couer d' Alene for a walk downtown and along the floating dock. What a wonderful day!
