Labor Day Celebrations!

Here are a few pics from our Labor Day, which was quiet but nice. We enjoyed the day with Jessa, the twins and my dad. We went on a hike around Spring Valley, a reservoir about 15 miles outside of Moscow. As a result of this being a last minute thing both Jessa and I forgot our carriers. Needless to say our arms were very tired by the end of the hike! Then we capped off the festivities by enjoying dad's wonderful baby back ribs. Very tasty!

It was a gorgeous day out and the lake was nice and calm.
Grandpa Dave, with his vast experience in tracking, was quick to point out a few "remnants" left by a local bear. We were all briefed on what to do in case of an attack.

This was Dad's third attempt at the ribs and was by far the best!! They were excellent and as you can see he thinks they were tops!!
River joined us at the table and was quite intent on having a full-fledged conversation with Uncle Josh. Honestly, I think his goal was to get a taste of some real home cooking.

I love that picture of Josh and River. River clearly has lots to say!
